Seal Island Cruise
Sail with the original Seal Island cruise operator from Hout Bay to the magnificent Duiker Island. Duiker Island is home to a colony of thousands of Cape fur seals that you can view up close on this tour. Initially constructed during the First World War, this 9km route with its 114 curves, skirts Chapmans Peak, the 593m high southerly extension of Constantia Berg, and follows the rocky coastline to unfold breath taking views in both directions. The route starts at the picturesque fishing harbour of Hout Bay and the climb winds steeply up to Chapmans Point, revealing breath taking views of the sandy bays.

Cape Point - Funicular (Return)
Apart from offering visitors an exciting and novel method of travel, taking the Flying Dutchman funicular saves visitors an uphill walk from the car park to see the old lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic views. The Flying Dutchman Funicular, also known as the Cape Point Funicular, is a funicular railway located at Cape Point. Its the only commercial funicular of its type in Africa, and takes its name from the local legend of the Flying Dutchman ghost ship. The line runs from a lower station at the Cape Point car park, up an incline through dense fynbos to the upper lighthouse. The funicular leaves from the lower station every three minutes, comfortably accommodates 40 passengers per car, and can.

Between 06:00 am and 10:00 am, depending on what weather conditions are for that day, a representative from White Shark Projects will collect guests from their accommodation. This can be from any location in Cape Town or Hermanus and surrounding areas. Guests will then be driven to the luxury Ocean View Headquarters in Kleinbaai.
Day at Sea
Before going on the boat a Marine Guide or biologist will give a safety briefing and explain how the cage-diving works. Once at sea, the Marine Biologist and skipper will give a talk on the sharks and other marine life guests will observe. They will explain how we work with the sharks in the area and prepare guests for the dive. Guests will spend 2 to 4 hours at sea, depending on the shark activity and how quickly they come to the boat. Be sure to ask many questions Snacks, water & towels are provided.
Cage Diving & Viewing
The cage takes 6 people at a time. Each person spends about 20-30 minutes in the cage, but guests will have the option to dive twice if the sharks and time allow. All diving and safety equipment is provided to enjoy the cage diving experience with White Shark Projects. Comfort and security are a focal point. Equipment includes wetsuits, weight belts, hoods, boots, and masks. No previous diving experience is required and everything will be explained.
On board Videographer
There will be a professional Videographer on all of the trips who will take professional movies and pictures of the trip. He will record the ride out, and the cage and shark activity! After the trip, he will edit the movie and show it to guests in the lodge before their departure. Media packages can be purchased at an additional cost, and these will be sent to guests via email, guests are also welcome to their videos and pictures.
After the trip
Once guests arrive back on shore, they will return to the lodge, which is just a short walk 30 seconds from the harbor. Luxury shower facilities and a powder room with a hairdryer are offered, so guests can have a warm shower and be sorted for the rest of the day. Guests will then be offered a light lunch and sit down to watch the movie of the day trip. They will then receive a de-brief from the marine guide biologist about what they saw on the trip and some educational information.
No diving experience is necessary - we use a natural breath-hold system.
